- Solutions to Final Exam
- In class on Monday, April 22 we did the example on pages 75-77 (of the class notes) and the calculation of the Laplace Transform of the derivative of f on pages 79-80 (of the class notes).
- The final exam is Monday, April 29, from 12:30 PM to 3 PM in our usual classroom. The final is comprehensive: it covers the whole course from the first class until the last class. In particular, the final exam covers:
- Chapter 1, Sections: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
- Chapter 2, Sections: 1, 2, 3, 4.
- Chapter 3, Sections: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Chapter 7, Sections: 1, 2, 3.

- Solutions to Exam 3.
- When you do Homework problem 31 in section 7.2, use the formula for the Laplace transform of t cos(kt) and the formula for the Laplace transform of sin (kt). (We will have established these formulas in class.) You will not have to do anything hard.
- When you do Homework problem 33 in section 7.3, you may use the results of Homework 23-26 in 7.3.
- Laplace Transform Facts. I will give you a copy of these facts, in this format, when you take Quiz 7 and when you take the final exam.

- Quiz 1 is on Wednesday, January 17. The quiz is one of the assigned
homework problems from sections 1.1 or 1.2.
- In class on Wednesday, January 17, we did three homework problems 1.2/32 (This problem is also on page 15 of the class notes), problem 1.2/33, and problem 1.1/30.
- In class on Monday, January 22 we checked our answer to problem 30 in 1.1. Then we covered pages 11 and 12 from the class notes.
- Quiz 2 is on Wednesday, January 24. The quiz is one of the assigned
homework problems from sections 1.3, 2.4, 1.4. (I removed 2.3 from the list of problems that might be on Quiz 2.)
- In class on Wednesday, January 24 we did problems 13 and 15 from section 1.3, and problems 24, 9, 13 from section 1.4.
- On Monday, January 29, I said a little more about section 1.3, numbers 13 and 15. I did section 1.4, number 35 and section 1.4, number 21. I started 1.1 number 46. This problem and 1.1, number 45 are solved on pages 15-20 of the class notes. (These problems could be in 2.3.)

- Quiz 5 is Wednesday, March 20. The quiz will be one of the assigned homework problems from sections 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, or 3.3.
- In class on Wednesday, March 20, I answered questions (complete solutions to all Homework questions from sections 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 are available in
Solutions to some homework problems ); I stated Euler's Identity (page 49 of the class notes); and I gave a quiz.
- In class on Monday, March 25, we covered pages 49-58 from the class notes.
- Quiz 6 is Wednesday, March 27. The quiz will be one of the assigned homework problems from section 3.4. (The quiz will not include any problems from Section 3.5.)
- In class on Wednesday, March 27, we covered pages 59-60 from the class notes; we did Homework problem 21 from Section 3.4; and we had a quiz.
- In class on Monday, April 1, we did Examples (c), (d), and (e) from page 59 of the class notes; we did Homework problem 33 from section 3.5; and we set up a Newton's Law of cooling problem.
- Exam 3 is Wednesday, April 3. The exam covers everything from Section 1.1 until 3.5. If you had trouble with some topic from Exam 2, I will surely ask about it again. Please get it right the next time.
