• The final exam is Tuesday, May 7 12:30 until 3:00PM. The final covers all sections from section 5.1 until the end of class on Thursday, April 25. The class ends with section 7.6. All homework problems are now posted. To prepare for the fianl exam, master all assigned Homework problems.

• Professor Kustin's office hours are 2:00 PM -- 3:00 PM Tuesday and Thursday. (You are welcome to "drop-in" during those times; but it works even better if you let me know that you plan to come.) Old Announcements

• The textbook for Spring 2013 is "Vector Calculus, Sixth Edition" by Jerrold Marsden and Anthony Tromba, published by W.H. Freeman. The course starts on page 263.
• Be sure to read the section ''To succeed'' in the syllabus.
• Before the second class, be sure to master the assigned homework problems in sections 5.1 and 5.2.
• The first quiz is on Tuesday, January 22. The quiz covers from 5.1 until 5.2.
• Before the fourth class (Thursday, January 24), be sure to master the assigned homework problems in section 5.3. In problem 20, you may use any legitimate argument.
• The first quiz really is on Thursday, January 24. The quiz covers from 5.1 until 5.2. On this date, I will answer any remaing questions on 5.1 and 5.2, then I will do 5.3 and start 5.4.
• Before Tuseday, January 29, be sure to master the assigned homework problems in section 5.3 (in problem 20, of 5.3, you may use any legitimate argument) and start the assigned HW in 5.4.
• Before Thursday, January 31, be sure to master the assigned homework problems in sections 5.1 -- 5.4.
• The second quiz is Tuesday, February 5. The quiz covers sections 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5.
• Before Thursday, Feb.7 do the HW in 6.1.
• The first exam is Thursday, February 14. The exam covers Sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, and 6.1. Here are some Notes about Exam 1: pdf format OR ps format.
• Before Thursday Feb 19, do the assigned Homework problems in section 6.2 (problems 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13)
• Quiz 3 is Tuesday, Feb, 26. The quiz is on the assigned homework in section 6.2. In other words, 3 (I think their answer to 3 is wrong.), 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 23 (my answer is twice their answer), 25, 28, 29, 33, 35 (describe R), 36.
• Before class on Tuesday, March 5, be sure to do the assigned Homework in section 6.3.

• Quiz 4 is Thursday, March 21. The quiz covers 6.2 and 6.3.
• Thursday, March 21 is the last class before Exam 2. I will take questions. Please bring some.
