Math 300

Instructions:
How to turn in a collection of
Progress Checks

Basic Instructions

For the collection of progress checks (e.g., ER's, SG's) due on a given day:
  1. For a given day, do the homework problems in the order they are listed on the course Homework page.
  2. When finished with your homework, staples your pages (if more than one page).
  3. Turn your assignment over and on the back of the (blank) last page in the upper right hand corner (near back of staple) write: your PIN, your Name, and due date.
Note. Your PIN will be assigned shortly after the last day to drop without a W. Before then, just omit your PIN and please write you name legibly.
  4. Turn your homework in at the beginning of class by placing it back side up on the front desk.

Other Instructions

  1. Do your homework on one side of a piece of paper. Do not do write your homework back-to-back.
Homework written on back side will NOT be graded and will receive a zero!
  2. Use 8.5''x11'' paper that is either lined or blank and is either white or yellow. (No frizzy edges please).
  3. Homework is due at the beginning of class. No late homework accepted.
  4. Homework due dates are announced in class since the homework due the following class depends on where the lecture finishes that day. If in doubt on what is due the next class, just ask at the end of class. On occasions due dates are posted on the course homework page.
  5. Use complete sentences   (unless otherwise indicated).
  6. When necessary, explain your answer. E.g., if answer "Yes" or "No", you need to say why your choose your answer.
  7. Each Progress Check is worth 5 points. So if due on a given day is 1 SG and 8 ER's, that day's collection contributes 5(1+8) = 45 points towards your progress checks.
  8. You may collaborate (e.g., bounce ideas off each other) but the work you turn in must be your own (i.e., no copying from each other or the web). Remember, you must take your exams alone and cheating, of any form, is grounds for an F in this course.
  9. Not following instructions can result in a lose of points.
