Quiz over Ch 14

  1. The quiz is representative of the style of exam questions over Ch. 14.
    However, due to the time limitation, the quiz is NOT representative of ALL topics on an exam covering Ch 14.
  2. The Quiz will cover
    Chapter 14 (section 14.1-14.7).
    Due to this course's cumulative nature, a working knowledge of previous material from the textbook is needed.
  3. The MML Ch 14 Quiz is to be taken over MML on
    Thursday April 4
    during the time frame of
    7:00 am and 10:00 pm .
    For this quiz, a student has
    50 minutes.
    Students need to
    complete all questions in one session
    (i.e., once you start, you can not come back to it later). In case of an emergency, email Prof. Girardi immediately.
  4. There will be 10 questions worth a total of 20 points.
  5. The time remaining shows on the bottom bar. Also, a warning appears as the end time is nearing.
  6. Unlike an exam, this quiz is: open notes, calculators are allowed, and a cheat sheet is allowed.
  7. Such a cheat sheet will be useful in studying for exams.
  8. The questions will be in the same style as your MML homework questions as well as previous MML quizzes.
  9. One good way to study for this exam is to review your MML HW and lecture notes from the sections covered.
  10. Another good way to study a quiz is to work some practice quizzes, as explained at the (linked) MML Help and Hints, which is also posted on course homepage. Working such quizzes will also let you see the format of a MML quiz.
  11. Your results from your quiz will be posted on MML after the class finishes the quiz.
  12. Students may not discuss, nor share any information about, the quiz with others until the day after the quiz is to be taken. Failure to follow this will result in a F in the course
  13. If you are registered with the Office of Student Disability Resource Center for extended time and you have discussed your accommodations with Prof. Girardi, then your extended time will appear when you open your quiz.
