Quiz 1

The Quiz will cover
MML assignments 00.1--00.6 and Section 12.1.

The Quiz is to be taken over MML will be be available
Thursday September 12 between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm .
Note you will not be able to view the quiz until it becomes availble
and you must finish the quiz by the end availablity time.
To access the quiz, from a pull-down menu make sure you have selected either:
All Assignments, or Quizzes, or Quizzes&Tests.

The questions will be in the same style as your MML homework questions.

The quiz has 6 questions and is worth 17 points.

The quiz is do-able in 30 minutes; however,
since this will be the first MML quiz for some,
a student
has 45 minutes for the quiz.
Students need to
complete the quiz in one session
(i.e., once you start the quiz, you can not come back to it later).
In case of an emergency, email Prof. Girardi immediately.

Unlike an exam,
this quiz is: open notes, cheat sheet is allowed,
and calculators are allowed.

For the sections covered on the quiz,
make notes (e.g., on a sheet of paper or as flash card)
of items you would like have quick reference to during the (timed) quiz.
Your notes will be helpful not only on the quiz
but also for studying for tests.

highly suggested first start at studying for the quiz.
- A good way to study for this quiz is to work some
practice quizzes, as explained at the (linked)
MML
Help and Hints, which is also posted on course homepage.
Working such quizzes will also let you see the format of a MML quiz.

The time remaining shows on the bottom bar. Also,
a warning appears as the end time is nearing.

Your results from your quiz will be posted on MML
after the class finishes the quiz.

Students may not discuss, nor share any information about, the quiz with others until
the day after the quiz is to be taken.
Failure to follow this will result in a F in the course

If you are registered with the Office of Student Disability Resource Center for
extended time and you have discussed your accommodations with Prof. Girardi
at least 48 hours prior to the quiz availability
then your extended time will appear when you open your quiz.
