To create the GEYSER plot, you select items from the menu as follows

      SELECTION: geyser_binned.txt

    (The graph should appear, with both bars and lines.
     We'll get rid of the lines, and fix up the bars)

  In the TITLES box:
    TITLE: Interval between eruptions of Old Faithful
   *ACCEPT

    In the LINE PROPERTIES box:
      TYPE: None
    Go to SYMBOLS tab
       SYMBOL fill box
         COLOR: RED
         PATTERN: Choose the solid square
    *ACCEPT

PLOT
  AXIS PROPERTIES
    (The X axis is selected by default)
    START: 40
    STOP:  120
    AXIS LABEL: Minutes
   *APPLY
    In the TICK PROPERTIES box
    Major spacing: 10
    Select the TICK MARKS tab
    In the MAJOR TICKS box
      Check DRAW GRID LINES
    *ACCEPT

  AXIS PROPERTIES
    AXIS: Y
    AXIS LABEL: Frequency
   *APPLY
    In the TICK PROPERTIES box
    Select the TICK MARKS tab
    In the MAJOR TICKS box
      Check DRAW GRID LINES
    *ACCEPT

Notice that the boxes are not wide enough now!

    In the SYMBOL PROPERTIES box:
    Move the SIZE to about 300

Now save the image:
