TEACHING
I have enjoyed teaching general mathematics courses, mathematics pre-major courses, and a computer science pre-major course. I have also substituted for several professors in a wide variety of major courses.
In 2008, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Adolescence Education from Houghton College. The Department of Mathematics at the University of South Carolina presented me with the award "2012-2013 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant."
Every aspect of my teaching is focused on the individual. My lessons are filled with student interaction and I incorporate discovery learning whenever possible. In addition to learning the course material, I require that my students exercise their logic and reasoning skills. I encourage them to become life-long learners.
