The text and syllabus in 2001 and 2002, when this course was first introduced, were quite a bit different from what we have now, so these may be of limited utility, and have not been included. I last taught this course in the Fall of 2007, and before that in the Spring semesters of 2005 and 2004. The text from 2003 through the Spring of 2007 was similar to the one we are using now, but nonetheless different (covers less and is much more expensive). From the Fall of 2007 to the Spring of 2009, we had a more comprehensive and cheaper text (which I still like), but students found it to be intimidating. Notice that Mr. Robert Murphy was the instructor in the period Fall, 2005 through Spring, 2009, with a few exceptions in which Professor Ralph Howard or I taught the course. We all had different emphases and points of view, and we all relied on handouts to a large extent.
