Matthew Miller (Ph.D., Illinois, 1979)
Mathematical Biology and Commutative Algebra. Research interests
involve problems in ecological modeling, particularly in spatial aspects
of animal behavior. Previous work in commutative algebra used homological
techniques to investigate relationships between betti numbers and Hilbert
functions. Teaching interests include mathematics for
biology and other life science majors.
