• eText: The electronic textbook is available via many avenues.

  • Avenue 1  (Prof. G. finds this is the fastest way to pull-up/load the eText.)
    1. From the left side menu, click eText Contents.
    2. From the RIGHT side, where it says "Read your complete eText here", click on the linked eText.
    3. In a new window/tab, all chapters of the textbook will show up.
    4. On the left side menu, clicking on the pancake icon pulls up Table of Contents, from where you can navigate to the desired chapter or section.
  • Avenue 2
    1. From the left side menu, click Accessible Resources.
    2. From the RIGHT side, where it says "View the eText for your course", click on the linked eText
    3. In a new window/tab, you will be given the choices to either view the entire (complete) eText or to view a specific Chapter from the eText. Either choice will open in a new window/tab.
  • Avenue 3
    1. While working a homework MML question that is labeled x.y.z (Chapter.Section.ExerciseNumber), in the lower left corner click on Textbook.
    2. A pop up window with Section x.y of the eText will pop up.
• Student Solution Manual, which has solutions to the odd numbered exercises.

  1. If the top center of a MML question says Question 17, 1.2.3, then the question similar to Section 1.2's Exercise 3.
  2. From the left side menu, click on Video & Resources Library.
  3. From the drop down menu, click on Student's Solutions Manual.
  4. From the RIGHT side, click on Student's Solutions Manual.
  5. From the window that pops up, click on the appropriate chapter.
  6. Solutions to the odd numbered exercises will open in a new window/tab.
  7. If Student's Solutions Manual does not appear under Video&Resources Library, shot Prof.G an e-mail. (ignore: ManageCourse↓EditCourseMenu↓VR Library)
• Source of practice problems, which will not count towards your grade.   These are MML choosen question.

  1. From the left side menu, click on Study Plan.
  2. From the horizontal Study Plan Recommendations, click an All Chapters.
  3. Click on the Chapter you want. It will show the Chapter's sections (along with their names).
  4. Click on the Section you want.
  5. It will open with the All Objectives (for that section) displayed along with practice problems for each objective.
  6. Click on any MML question. Up will pop all questions for that entire section, starting on the question that you clicked on.
  7. Toward the top where there is a box with a pull down menu showing All Objectives. Using the pull down menu one can chose a specific objective.
• Take a practice quiz over a learning objective. Will not count towards your grade.   These quizzes are over a section's objective. MML choosen question.

  1. From the left side menu, click on Study Plan.
  2. From the horizontal Study Plan Recommendations, click an All Chapters.
  3. Click on the Chapter you want. It will show the Chapter's sections (along with their names).
  4. Click on the Section you want.
  5. Toward the top where there is a box with a pull down menu showing All Objectives. Using the pull down menu, select a specific objective.
    Note: you can not chose All Objectives.
  6. Just to the right (or under, if your screen is small) of your selected objective, click on the gray Quiz Me box.
  7. Up will pop the cover page for the quiz. Read the instruction. Note a practice quiz (unlike an actual quiz) is not time limited.
  8. Toward the bottom click the blue Start Test box (or, if you had already started the quiz, the blue Finish the Test box). Your practice quiz will pop up.
  9. When finished with the practice quiz, click Submit Test.
  10. Then details of your quiz results will pop up, with the opportunity to Review Test.
  11. If at a later time you want to try another practice quiz over the same objective, just start at Step 1 of these instructions.

Warning: the below bulleted items do NOT hold for a MML actual (non-practice) quiz, which does count towards your grade.
Unlike MML actual (i.e., non-practice) quizzes,

  • a practice quiz is not time limited
  • a practice quiz does not have to be done in one sitting (i.e., you can close a practice quiz and resume later)
  • you can retake a practice quiz has may times as you want.
• Take a practice quiz or test over a Chapter, which will not count towards your grade.   MML choosen question.

  1. From the left side menu, click eText Contents.
  2. From the drop down menu, click on the desired Chapter.
  3. On the RIGHT side, click on Take quizzes & tests.
  4. On the RIGHT side, select either the Chapter's Quiz or Test.
  5. From this point, it is similar to the practice quizzes over a learning objectives.
