Hourly Exams The below chart indicates the sections scheduled to be covered on each of the three hourly exams. The precise date will be announced (at least one week in advance) as it nears. Basically, I do not believe in giving an exam before the material of the exam is appropriately covered in lectures and there is adequate recitation/SI time for your practice with the material. You can approximate an exam date by assuming about one section per lecture day and then add the needed days to ensure those sections are covered in reciatition/SI. Exam Sections covered Date Exam 1 8.1 - 8.5 and 8.7 - 8.8 TBA Exam 2 10.1 - 10.6 TBA (looking like Th. before or Tue after Spring Break) Exam 3 10.7-10.10 and part of Ch 11. TBA Some Fixed Dates Cannot have a quiz, test, or examination. Note that homework and attendance are still possible. The University policy is: In any course which meets more than three times per week, no quiz, test, or examination may be given during the last three class meetings prior to the regular examination period.
