Dear Conference Participants, This is the third and perhaps final email announcement for the SERMON 2005 conference. A tentative schedule of talks is now available at: http://www.math.sc.edu/~filaseta/SERMON2005/SERMON2005talks.pdf Alf van der Poorten has indicated that he will not be able to make it to the conference. We have invited Florian Luca to give a 50 minute talk in his place. We currently have a total of 22 twenty minute talks in addition to the 50 minute talk by Trevor Wooley on Friday and the 50 minute talk by Florian Luca on Saturday. Thus, the schedule is rather tight, with talks starting at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday (and with coffee and doughnuts available beforehand). I have tried to abide by all requests for times. If anyone has a strong preference not to talk at the time scheduled, please let me know ASAP. Also, if you would still like to give a talk and have not submitted an abstract, let me know. We can probably add to the Sunday schedule but also may be able to fit someone in if there is a cancellation. Note that Trevor Wooley is speaking from 4:30-5:20 on Friday. All talks including Trevor's will be in LeConte, room 412 (on the fourth floor). Immediately following Trevor's talk, there will be a gathering on the fourth floor of LeConte in the Wyman Williams Room, which should be easy to find (two doors to the right of room 412). This is also where coffee and doughnuts will be on Saturday and Sunday. The departmental gathering should end around 6:30. The SERMON Friday night social will be at Bob Murphy's house at 2732 Heyward Street (phone: 803-254-5941); you can come any time after 6:30. You do not need to eat beforehand. Directions can be found at: http://www.math.sc.edu/~murphy/housedirections.html Parking decals went out last Friday to all those who requested them. Again, the decals are strictly for use on Friday. Parking in campus lots over the weekend does not require a decal. If you requested a decal, you should have also received an email this past weekend noting that the decal was sent. There is also an option to park in the Pendleton Garage on the corner of Pendleton and Pickens; use the Pickens Street entrance. In the garage, you will find metered parking that you can use (there are also reserved parking spots that you should not use). Parking in the garage or in other metered parking has the advantage of allowing you to park closer to LeConte (where the talks are). We look forward to seeing everyone at the conference.
