Dear Potential or Probable Participants, This is the second announcement for SERMON 2005. There will be another. There are over a dozen abstracts already submitted on the web site: http://atlas-conferences.com/cgi-bin/abstract/caqa-01 We also know of several others who are wanting or willing to talk. Thus, the conference will at least run through noon on Sunday. Please feel free to continue to contribute abstracts if you wish to speak. There is no parking decal needed for Saturday and Sunday. On the other hand, if you are planning on arriving Friday afternoon to attend the colloquium given by Trevor Wooley, then you will need a parking decal. We do not have a lot of decals, so if you are traveling with a group in one vehicle, it would help if only one person from the group requests a decal. Simply send an email to: filaseta@math.sc.edu asking for a decal and giving a mailing address for the decal. On the other hand, please don't be shy about asking for a decal even if you only think and do not know if you will be arriving on Friday afternoon. More parking information will be given in a future announcement. Those of you who are planning to talk, please let me know of any constraints you have with the timeslot for your talk (for example, if you will be arriving after say 9:00 on Saturday morning or leaving prior to noon on Sunday). You do not need to write to me if you have no constraints. Also, the talks will take place in a room that will accommodate various forms of presentations: chalkboard, transparencies and a laptop connection. We have updated the hotel information on the SERMON 2005 web page: http://www.math.sc.edu/~filaseta/SERMON2005/SERMON2005.html The new link has a list of hotels that are closer to the conference and some discounts for them. Note that the Holiday Inn has a deadline of April 1st for the reduced rate. You may still wish to find a less expensive hotel further from the conference and drive in. We will write again soon, Regards, Michael Filaseta filaseta@math.sc.edu Bob Murphy murphy@math.sc.edu Ognian Trifonov trifonov@math.sc.edu Gang Yu yu@math.sc.edu
